A healthcare practice reception desk

For healthcare providers

A warm, human front desk for every patient.

Healthcare front desks juggle check-in, insurance, copays, and video calls that never stop, all while patients deserve a calm welcome. HiBridge answers every video call, checks patients in, and collects payments, so your team can focus on care.

The problem

Where a busy practice quietly loses time and revenue.

Missed inquiries

A new-patient video call comes in during a busy check-in and goes unanswered, and to the practice down the road.

Lobby lines

Several arrivals at once and the waiting room backs up, straining patients and staff alike.

Uncollected copays

Copays go uncollected at the desk and turn into statements you chase for weeks.

Front-desk burnout

One receptionist juggling video calls, arrivals, and intake means every peak becomes a bottleneck.

How HiBridge solves it

What changes at the desk

01

Every video call answered, live

Real receptionists appear on screen while your desk helps the patient in front of them, every inquiry answered live.

02

Self check-in at the kiosk

Patients check themselves in and complete intake on screen, so the lobby never backs up at peak.

03

Copays collected up front

Card capture takes copays and balances at check-in, collected on arrival instead of billed and chased.

04

Coverage that never blinks

When the desk is out or slammed, receptionists keep video calls and check-ins moving. Clinicians keep treating.

Outcomes

These describe what the platform is designed to do at a covered front desk. Results depend on your volume, workflow, and staffing model, the staffing and savings calculator models your own numbers.

Who this fits

Organisations we build this for

  • Hospitals & clinics
  • Medical & dental practices
  • Mental health & wellness
  • Social service agencies

Multi-location

One reception team, every site

Most practice operators do not have a coverage problem at one location, they have it across all of them at once. A pooled reception team on the HiBridge portal sees every lobby in one view, so a quiet site absorbs a busy one instead of each door needing its own hire.

That is also how breaks, call-outs, and peak hours get covered without adding headcount. Read more on the multi-location front desk page.

Security & privacy

Handled on screen, not in the open

A virtual desk changes who can overhear a conversation. Visitors speak to one receptionist on a screen rather than across an open counter, and check-in details are entered by the visitor rather than read aloud.

Our current security, privacy, and compliance posture is documented on the security and privacy page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is HiBridge a receptionist service or software we staff ourselves?

Both models run on the same platform. HiBridge is the patented virtual reception technology: kiosk, live video, payments, printing, scanning, and the multi-location receptionist portal. Some organisations staff it with their own team from a central location; others staff it with a remote receptionist sourced through HiBridge. We will walk through which model fits your practice during a demo.

Do visitors talk to a real person or a bot?

A real person. One tap brings a live receptionist onto the screen. There is no phone tree and no chatbot standing in for a human.

Does this work across more than one location?

Yes. One pooled reception team can cover several lobbies at once from a single view, which is the main reason multi-site operators move to a virtual front desk.

What hardware do we need?

A screen at the desk, a camera, and a network connection. Existing tablets and desk hardware can often be reused, and peripheral options for printing, scanning, and card capture are covered on the hardware page.

How do we see it working before committing?

Book a demo and we will run the kiosk and receptionist portal against your own practice workflow, then show you the staffing and cost picture with your numbers.
